Has degree of Masters in political Science and a bachelor in Engineering (Chemistry). He works as a Strategist and developer at the Department of internal services at The City of Malmo, Sweden. Olle Strandberg has worked his entirely life with public development of communities, for many years within the ICT-industry, and from 2003 within the city of Malmo. Between 2003 and 2009 he was manager of IT and Telecommunication, and from 2009 and forward he is working with sustainable development and as a strategist/ project manager for the R&D section of the City of Malmo. He is also a cowriter of the publication: Who carries out the changes in healthcare- The politicians or the medical experts?

Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in engineering and automation and holds a business degree from KU Leuven. He worked for several years in the army and later became Technical/commercial Director and EMC Consultant at Comtest. He also held several managing positions at Rohde und Schwarz, IMEC, Siemens, EDS and Nuon. Currently, he is General Manager at Cebeo, a company active in the distribution of electronic material for professional installers and enterprises

Joined LightingEurope as Secretary General in April 2017 with 15 years’ experience advocating for membership associations. Ourania worked five years as Director, Public Policy Europe for SEMI, the global trade association representing the manufacturing supply chain for the semiconductor and related industries. She liaised with SEMI member companies and EU decision-makers to create a balanced regulatory environment and promote Europe's global competitiveness. Previously, Ourania worked for 10 years as Senior Policy Coordinator at the Assembly of European Regions in Brussels and Strasbourg, where she worked directly with elected regional politicians to help shape and implement EU policies. During her career Ourania has worked on a number of major issues, from the EU Lisbon Treaty to the EU Services Directive, and from health and social policy to environmental rules and e-innovation. Ourania holds degrees in European Law and Policy-making.

Has been involved in the lighting industry from an early age and has attained an Honours Degree in Ergonomics at Loughborough University. He also ran a successful lighting company in the UK. Mr. Hunt joined the Lighting Association Council of Management in 1987 and became President in 1992 during which time the Association established its own dedicated test laboratory for the industry. In 2008 he took over the role of COO of the Lighting Association and played a key role in merging the LA with the Lighting Industry Federation in 2012 to create one association for the UK industry in the form of the current Lighting Industry Association, which represents 250 lighting companies and 150 associate members. He is currently COO of the LIA and CEO of the WEEE Compliance Scheme Provider, Lumicom.

Has extensive knowledge in marketing and communication strategies. Currently working as Managing Director at the Norwegian Light association, Lyskultur. Previously worked as Head of Marketing at Selmer Law Firm. Before that as Head of Sponsorships and Public Relations at the National Museum, and has also managed the project “Award for Design Excellence” at the Norwegian Design Council. Katia Valerie Banoun worked and studied abroad for many years – in Spain, France and England. BA degree in marketing, Spanish literary history and art history, and further education in graphic design, communication and leadership. She is a certified PMP project manager and authorized board member. Katia Valerie Banoun just finished a one year course in Design Management from Grow institute January 2019.

is Head of Standards & Regulations in Signify since 2015. After graduating in Mathematics from the Nijmegen University, Maurice joined Philips Research in 1987. He obtained his PhD from the Amsterdam University through a thesis on Mathematical Methods for Reflector Design in 1997. Maurice has over 20 years of experience in standardization, having served on boards of industry alliances such as the Blu-ray Disc Association and the ZigBee Alliance. Through his current role in Signify and his involvement in LightingEurope, Maurice hopes to contribute to the use of improved metrics, interface standards and simplified regulations, which will stimulate smarter and better lighting, bringing more value from lighting systems to their users.

Graduate with a MBA, from ESSEC, after being located and working in Africa and South Pacific for the “ French World Bank” named AFD, as project manager and financial analyst for M&A for 10 years, Lionel Brunet has joined for more 20 years the industry in an international chemical and mechanical group in the Defense and Aerospace sectors in various positions such as financial, HR, marketing commercial, plant and BU manager and finally CEO of a main subsidiary. These activities were disseminated in Europe including Belgium, USA, Japan, Korea and China.

Founder in 2004 of an international trade association based in Zurich including all the world wide producers of nitrocellulose, he was nominated as chairman for the first 6 years.

Acting as CEO of the French lighting association Syndicat de l’éclairage, from 2013, one of the founders of the European lighting association named Lighting Europe, in order to develop the image and the lobbying activities in France, he has also been elected to the Executive Board of Lighting Europe in 2015, then Treasurer in 2016, and VP in 2018.

Graduated in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science. He worked as a specialist in the energy sector for over 20 years. He is President and Founder of Energic, which provides innovative solutions for community energy coaching, by directly involving all users in commercial buildings. He is also the General Director of the company Declercq et Debruyne, which is specialized in the installation of air conditioning and cooling equipment.

Graduated in Physics and Computer Science and worked for over 30 years in the lighting industry, researching on the effects of light on human beings. He currently works as a Research and Development Expert at LEDVANCE, where he focuses on the application of light for health, well-being and performance of humans. Since 2013, he is also an active member of the working group Human Centric Lighting at LightingEurope.

Graduated from the University of Leuven with a Master in Business Administration. She has been working at PROSAFE (Product Safety Forum of Europe) for over 8 years, were she now holds the position of Executive Director. At PROSAFE, Ioanna Sandu contributes to improving the safety of users of objects and services in Europe, directly collaborating with internationally based consultants in the project management of Joint Market Surveillance Actions targeting the safety of consumers.

Holds a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering. He currently works for the European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy, as a Head of Sector for energy efficient products. He manages a team of about 10 officials responsible for the development and implementation of Ecodesign, Energy Labelling and Tyre Labelling legislation, as well as the EU Energy Star programme. He started his career in the European Commission as a policy officer in the Directorate-General for Environment where he was involved in the development of integrated product policy and the European Ecolabel. Prior to joining the Commission, he worked as a senior consultant for an international environmental consultancy with an emphasis on environmental product policy, ecodesign and waste management.

Is the Secretary General of E.DSO, the association of the leading European electricity distribution system operators (DSOs). Previously, he has been Special Adviser of E.DSO on secondment from Enel Group of Italy since 2015. At Enel he guided their EU Institutional Affairs office in Brussels between 2007 and 2014. He has also worked as Director of External Relations for Fiat in Frankfurt and gained extensive experience as an economic and financial journalist for various publications. Mr. Zangrandi has been the founding Chairman of the CSR Managers Network of Italy and held the postgraduate Chair of Public Relations at Udine University, the first to teach the practice in Italy. He studied Political Science and Sociology and holds a Masters in International Associations Management from the Solvay Brussels School.

After graduating as a Master in applied bio-engineering with a specialisation in chemistry, and working at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, I started working for the Belgian Directorate-general for Environment in the Unit for Product policy. In 2007 on food and food waste later on the potential of Life cycle assessment (LCA) as a policy tool. Since 2012 I’m the Belgian delegate for the Ecodesign Regulatory Committee. I follow up issues on resource efficiency and environmental foot printing.

Eszter Batta is team leader for the smart enforcement of EU product rules in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market and Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW). Her work focuses on the improvement of market surveillance, prevention of unsafe products and setting up the European Product Compliance Network. Previously she was responsible for the coordination of the European Strategy on Plastics. Prior to that, she was the policy assistant to the Director in single market and industry policy related areas, including several harmonised product sectors, standardisation, mutual recognition and was involved in priority projects such as the European Semester, Circular Economy, Single Market Strategy incl. the Goods Package and Digital Single Market.

Before joining the European Commission in 2009, she worked as an Advisor to a Member of European Parliament. She holds a master’s degree in international relations and European studies from the Corvinus University in Budapest and studied political science at the University of Cologne.
